Based in Seattle, Washington, Uma Sekar is the Impact Measurement Fellow, supporting Grameen Foundation.
Uma has designed and implemented several evaluation frameworks for non-profits, social enterprises, venture capital funds, and a randomized control evaluation study in India. Her principal expertise is to strategically connect impact measurement to an organization’s vision and operation using theories of change and logic models. Her technical skills include human centred research design, survey design, quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting, database management and software integration. Since 2006, she has been an active volunteer in the community as a tutor, mentor and event organizer.
Uma holds a Master of Science in Financial Economics and Bachelors of Commerce, specializing in Finance. Her experience ranges from working with women, children and youth in urban slums and villages in India, to youth in Seattle. She is also fluent in Tamil and conversant in Hindi.
Concurrently, she is an Impact Assessment Intern with Unitus Seed Fund and consults on Customer Success with LiveImpact.
