Volunteers
Bankers without Borders® is a program of the Grameen Foundation that engages individuals and companies to help break the cycle of global poverty. It is a global reserve of business professionals with experience in a variety of fields – from finance and technology to human resources and marketing. By contributing their time and knowledge, Bankers without Borders volunteers support social enterprise, microfinance, and technology-sector initiatives throughout the developing world.
Whether via virtual assignments, projects at our headquarters in Washington D.C. or our technology center in Seattle, or on-site work in emerging markets, you can advance microfinance and enable even more of the world’s poorest people to escape poverty. We look to our volunteers as outside experts who offer experience and insight to help Grameen Foundation and its partners to become more efficient and powerful organizations, with programs that move individuals toward economic self-sufficiency.
As a member of Bankers without Borders, you gain access to online courses and career development, receive personal updates on new volunteer projects that match your skills and interests, and join a network of professionals who share your passion for microfinance and other innovative solutions to fight global poverty. Volunteers from field-based engagements tell us that their projects have given them “life-changing” personal and professional growth experiences. Many express a sense of achievement that they have transferred skills and contributed time towards alleviating global poverty.
